"Crossovers, and Whatnot"

That thread is terrifyingly long. This old software is not 100% reliable.

Anyway, TsukaiStarburst said:
>This thread bewilders me. I've never quite understood it.

I think it started out as an attempt to dodge one of the old, long-defunct forum rules, which prohibited asking "will Thing X ever appear?" Semantically speaking, "This hasn't appeared, but it could!" isn't a question! Passive aggression is the best aggression. :)

>Honestly I always kind of wanted to see Railgun, if only for the
>chance of finally getting a Mikoto/Kuroko ship that didn't suck, but I
>guess that never worked out.

It might? Someday? I don't want to make any promises, because I've already got way too many irons in way too many fires and it's all getting more than a little bit dismaying as I become ever more conscious that there's more sand in the bottom of the hourglass than the top, but I've kicked around a few ideas and who knows, they might take root one of these days. It is, at the very least, not on the "aw hell naw" list.

Besides scheduling and creative bandwidth, I think the biggest stumbling block is that I a whole bunch don't want to work with the Bad Guys from that show.

As the thread starter, I assure you that any rules lawyering was entirely unintentional and done without malicious intent. IIRC, it was mostly just to start a "this would be cool to see" conversation.

Very well, I stand corrected. (Although I still believe some of the replies were probably made in the spirit I suspected. This is the Internet, after all. :)

>In my view, though, to focus on All Might is to miss the point of the

>Marvel's most prominent female characters - Rogue, Storm, Jean Grey,
>all the rest - to collectively beat the shit out of Mineta until he is

>something for the whole family to enjoy.

Back in the '80s, there was a period when Storm didn't have her superpowers Because Reasons, and was going through kind of a punk phase with a mohawk and lots of studded black leather. At one point in that era, Cyclops tried to oust her from leadership of the Decepticons X-Men on the grounds that, well, she didn't have superpowers. For some reason they decided to settle the matter with a duel in the Danger Room, in which she proceeded to clown the absolute fuck out of him.

You can probably see why the scenario above reminded me of this. :)

>you are now also imagining uf-verse laura kinney no selling

Sometimes an example must be made.

As I’m given to understand, Mineta’s gotten much better over time on his own. How true that is, I don’t know, I fell off the series around when Super Tintin appeared in the show, and I never was reading the manga.

As shown in my recommendations over in general, I don’t do a lot of traditional Shonen series. Don’t have anything against them, they’re just usually not my bag.

I don't blame you. The only traditional shonen series I read right now is Mission: Yozakura Family which only just had an anime announced.

(And it's straightforward enough that it could drop into pretty much any crossover unchanged. Including UF)

   >How true that is, I don’t know

It's... only true because of how insufferable he is at the start. It's a real shame. As I mentioned before, he's otherwise exactly My Shit when it comes to character and power design: he's got a weird, slightly unsettling power and is just a gremlin made of lumps. Normally that is catnip to me. But then he opens his mouth, and drools, and talks so, SO hornily about the female cast, and then the red mist descends and I wake up tied to a policeman in rural Latvia again.

Lemillion, aka Super Tintin, also has a REALLY strong arc. He's also just a good dude in general with great hero instincts. He kicks off the stuff with Eri and the Shie Hassaikai and makes sure he follows through, and he fights like a fucking demon. Seriously, he might look like Tintin but his power is badass as hell and he knows how to use it.

I am a connoisseur of B-grade trad-shonen schlock, and BNHA is very That, so I don't really recommend it per se. It's a similar story with Black Clover, which follows much of the same story beats but has a fantasy setting and magic and a sense of pacing I can only describe as LUDICROUS SPEEEEEED! It also contains Vanessa, who is a perpetually drunk witch and Best Girl, and Captain Yami, a man in anime who actually looks his fucking age. This is presumably to counteract Gauche, who is the The Fucking Worst. It is cheap late-night drunk food anime, the kind of food that you only get when pissed out your skull and makes you wake up in the morning with a head like a train derailed into a sewage works, but you KNOW you'll get it next Saturday night. =]

"She's old, she's lame, she's barren too, // "She's not worth feed or hay, // "But I'll give her this," - he blew smoke at me - // "She was something in her day." -- Garnet Rogers, Small Victory

FiMFiction.net: we might accept blatant porn involving the cast of My Little Pony but as God is my witness we have standards.

also in black clover one of the all-female blue rose knights is just so unbelievably gay for her captain and like. girl. you have GOT to realize you're gay SOMETIME honey.
