About two and a half years ago I went into the doctor to take care of a case of bronchitis %28I had that or a sinus infection about every 6 months or so like clockwork when I smoked%29.  Got all the drugs I needed and what not%2C but the next day I got into a serious coughing fit and%2C in the process%2C coughed up a little blood.  No big deal%2C I had been coughing a lot%2C but my doctor is cool and I called and told her about it.  She had me come back in%2C and she agreed with my assesment that I%27d just coughed too much.  And then%2C with no preamble at all%2C she said something to the affect of%2C %22If you were 5 years older%2C I%27d be sending you in for a CAT scan.%0D%0A%0D%0AI can count on one hand the number of cigarettes I%27ve had since then.  Nothing like a cold shower of reality to motivate.  The first week was covered by being sick%2C and I never wanted to smoke when I was sick anyway%2C so that combined with the cough syrup she gave cut my urge%2C and I never looked back.%0D%0A%0D%0AAnd then I got a DVD player and started blowing all my cigarette money on discs.  %3A%29%0D%0A%0D%0A%3E%3EI think it%27s safe to say%2C no more. %0D%0A%3E%0D%0A%3EI%27m rooting for you. %0D%0A%0D%0ADitto.  And don%27t be too discouraged if you start again.
