I%27ve sent some people mail that can be summed up as %27interseting story%2C has potential%2C but please use a spellchecker%2C%27 only to be flammed and spammed for a few weeks.%0D%0A%0D%0AThere are pleasant exceptions to this rule of course. People like the EPU team%2C Grey and Animeaddiction for example%2C that write well and also respond to C%26C as the friendly advice that it%27s intended to be. Of course%2C they have to put up with the same people going on about how they mock the true vision of the series%2C or writing blantant self-inserts%2C etc etc. I guess there%27s just no way to win.%0D%0A%0D%0AOh%2C and Rod%3F I couldn%27t find your fics. I want originality%2C new ideas%2C different paths for characters we already know%2C or perhaps some that the writer created that are more then cardboard cutouts.%0D%0A%0D%0AThat%27s why we read stories such as UF and NXE. It%27s more then a few poor jokes glued together with a poorly written lemon scene somewhere in the middle. It has characters that could pass for real people%2C with their own desires and personalities. It has a history that%2C despite taking a lot from other sources%2C is all its own. He was in it to have a bit of fun%2C and give some other %0D%0A%3E%3Epeople a few laughs along the way. %0D%0A%3EDid you tell him that%3F %0D%0A%0D%0AI certainly did%2C about a month ago -- gave him good words on the Eva%2FDual%2FSlayers%2FWar and Peace%2FLittle Red Riding Hood%2FWhat%27s on the shelf where I put my hand %2Athis%2A time fic %3Cgrin%3E he was writing.  %28Despite the way I just characterized it%2C I actually liked it quite a bit...%29  I also encouraged him to go back to a couple of things he abandoned in mid-stream that I thought had a lot of potential.%0D%0A%0D%0AMy only problem with Skysaber was the random political%2Freligious lecture that was in almost every installment of his work.  Some I liked -- even though it had no reason to exist%2C I really enjoyed the Talmudic argument he threw into ep 17 of Eva Rev -- but others were just irritating.  Maybe it%27s better he faded away now%3B I got the feeling that the lecturing was starting to take over the story.%0D%0A%0D%0A-- Bob%0D%0A-------------------%0D%0AMicrosoft -- because God hates us.
