The snow may be briefly mixed with rain or sleet early this morning...but precipitation will be all snow by mid morning. The snow is expected to taper off by mid afternoon. Snow accumulations by this evening are expected to be 2 to 5 inches. %0D%0A%0D%0AWhile there will be a break in the precipitation during the evening hours across central and northern sections...snow will once again develop by daybreak Sunday. A second...stronger storm will begin to affect the region early Sunday. Temperatures will be very cold during the day on Sunday...and the precipitation is expected to be in the form of snow. Snowfall accumulations on Sunday will range from 2 to 4 inches near the Pennsylvania border to 4 to 8 inches across the central Shenandoah Valley and the northern Piedmont. %0D%0A%0D%0AThis snow will continue into Sunday night. On Sunday night...significant amounts of snow are expected across the area. At this time...it is too early to predict exactly how much snow will fall Sunday night...but significant amounts are possible.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe most important item to remember is that this winter storm is a long duration event. Accumulating snow is expected to day through Monday morning. By the time snow ends on Monday morning...some locations may have seen as much as 1 to 2 feet over the course of the weekend.%0D%0A%0D%0AThis heavy snowfall...combined with the snowfall of today and Sunday will make travel very difficult across the area. Preparations for a significant winter storm should already be at completion. Postpone any travel that is not absolutely necessary. %0D%0A%0D%0ARoad conditions will deteriorate rapidly. If you absolutely must travel...slow down and allow extra time when traveling. Practice your winter safety rules...keep an extra flashlight...food...and water in your vehicle in case of emergency.%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0ARegards%2C%0D%0AJeanne%0D%0A%0D%0A%5Bi%5DNew Address%3A jhedge%40rcn.com%5B%2Fi%5D%0D%0A%5Blink%3Awww.jhedge.com%7Chttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.jhedge.com%5D%0D%0AAnime%2FManga Forum%3A %5Blink%3Ago.compuserve.com%2FAnime%7Chttp%3A%2F%2Fgo.compuserve.com%2FAnime%5D 1|1|0|||||RE%3A Weather and Katsucon%3F|Redneck||19:32:10|02/15/2003|%3EI%27m curious how the weather forecast is affecting Katsucon%3F Are people %0D%0A%3Eleaving early%2C or not going at all%2C or is the crowd about normal%3F %0D%0A%0D%0AI%27ve been watching the weather reports with some concern%2C but sadly the only weather that affected my travel plans was a severe lack of rains of large bags of cash in small unmarked bills. %0D%0A%0D%0ARedneck%0D%0A%0D%0A 2|2|1|||1||RE%3A Weather and Katsucon%3F|NeoRavenK7||01:39:01|02/16/2003|%3EI%27ve been watching the weather reports with some concern%2C but sadly %0D%0A%3Ethe only weather that affected my travel plans was a severe lack of %0D%0A%3Erains of large bags of cash in small unmarked bills. %0D%0A%0D%0ASame story here.
