Obviously this is not the case. I can log into hotmail from any other computer%2C and from this computer if I don%3Bt use IE %28ala netscape%29. How do I fix this %3F and please%2C no suggestions to install linux thanks. I have tried everything I could think of%2C including a total expunge of IE from the registry and the filesystem%2C and a complete kill of .net then reinstalling them both. Still get the error. The personal edition is a free download and seems to do a good job of identifying and removing various bits of spyware%2C malware and tracking cookies. While it has a large overlap in coverage with Ad-Aware%2C they both each find and handle things the other doesn%27t%2C so between the two of them%2C you should be well-protected. The most common one is when a bogus HOST file gets saved onto your computer%2C usually in several places%2C and replaces itself when you don%27t catch all the copies. The bogus file has common website addresses set to instead go to a specific one that the HOST file specifies. If you do a search for HOST%2C then open the ones you may find in a text editor you can see what I mean. Delete any that you may find%2C then reboot your computer. What I usually do is look for strange process names%2C and start tapping them into the Google Toolbar%2C to see what they do. After that%2C I hit it with a three finger salute%2C and see if anything lived through that. Reboot%2C and run em again. I have yet to find a good%2C cheap %28read Free%21%29 cookie filter%2C so I am just manually allowing or disallowing cookies from the various places I go. The ad cookies almost always are actually being installed using the ad site url%2C so they are easy to spot. Just a little annoying until I have all my most common sites in the kill%2Fno kill list.
