That same day they%27re also appearing on the cover of DC Comics%27 %5Bi%5DCatwoman%5B%2Fi%5D series %28couldn%27t find an online image%2C but it%27s a mug shot%2C and the Lost numbers are the Gotham City PD booking number%29.%0D%0A%0D%0AAccording to the article%2C they do not tie-in to the comic%27s storyline%2C but are an %27Easter egg%27 %28according to Dan DiDio%2C VP and Executive Editor of DC%2C they do Easter egg covers all the time%29. IIRC%2C Jeph Loeb%27s on the %5Bi%5DSmallville%5B%2Fi%5D staff.  Dunno if there%27s enough of a connection there for DC to jump on the wagon that way%2C but I%27m not surprised by writer%2Fartist%2Fetc. reference to the show.
