Her final episodes%2C %22Army of Ghosts%22 and %22Doomsday%2C%22 %28filmed in December and January as the 2-part season finale%29 will air on the BBC on July 1 and 8.%0D%0A%0D%0ARussell Davies%2C the show%27s head writer and executive producer%2C issued a statement saying%2C in part%3A %22the Doctor Who team have had a whole year to plan this final scene and have created a stunning exit for Rose Tyler. Rose has redefined the role of the Doctor%27s traveling companion so thoroughly that I%27m not at all convinced she can be replaced anywhere near as easily as the classic series equivalent. Smith Halfway House for Former Companions%3F If it%27s still possible %28I%27m not-by-choice relatively unspoiled for S2 so I %2Adon%27t%2A know%29%2C I can%27t see her going back to her old life.
