I was hoping any of you who are local or recently local could give me a few recommendations on local places worth checking out.  I%27m primarily interested in food establishments%2C but evening distractions would also be appreciated. 1|1|0|||||RE%3A Food %26 Entertainment in Worcester|jer||23:00:10|07/17/2007|Hmm... the evening distractions are few in this town%2C but the food is good.%0D%0ADepends what you%27re looking for. %0D%0A%0D%0AHighland Ave. %2C a block away from WPI%2C brings you Tortilla Sam%27s for Tex-Mex%2C Sole Proprietor for seafood%2C The Boynton pub%2Ffamily restaurant%2C The Sahara Lebanese%2Fhummus%2Ffalalalalafels . all within a couple blocks. %0D%0A%0D%0Aup on Park Ave near Elm Park are El Basha %28Middle Eastern%29%2C Haiku %28Japanese%29%2C Thai Cha Da%2C Shiraz %28Armenian%3F%29%2C Baba %28Sushi%29%2C and a half mile away%2C Nancy Chang%28Chinese%29.  Sakura Tokyo is on the south end of Park Ave for Teppanyaki and sushi.%0D%0A%0D%0AShrewsbury St. runs from the train station to Rt 9.. There%27re lots of good restaurants%2C especially Italian%2C along this 2 mile stretch.  My favorite is Leo%27s Ristorante.  Surya%27s Indian food comes recommended...I haven%27t been there myself since they changed locations.  %0D%0A%0D%0Amy personal %22don%27t miss%22 restaurants would be The Sahara and Nancy Chang. YMMV.%0D%0A%0D%0Afor coffee%2C The Bean Counter on Highland St. has great coffee and baked goods.%0D%0ACrown Bakery on Gold Star Blvd. is a European-style bakery where it%27s very easy to buy 1%2F2 of everything that looks good%2C and leave fat %2B happy.%0D%0ACaffe Dolce on Shrewsbury St serves dessert and coffee.%0D%0A%0D%0Alet me know what sorts of things you%27re looking for%2C and I can give more details.%0D%0A

If my boss hadn%27t been a member of the oversight committee for the group%2C I%27d have shown up at Kansas City International%2C wondering where hell my plane ticket was.%0D%0A%0D%0AI truly appreciate the info though.
