Given Noriko is %22proto-Shinji%22 in a way%28along with %22Asuka%2C but Russian and with less issues%22 Jung%29%2C I was curious enough to take a look through it as something of a breather from the current Monster of the Week over in Rayearth. After finishing it...%0D%0A%0D%0ADid someone kick every pet Anno ever had%3F%0D%0A%0D%0AI mean%2C it%27s less depressing than Evangelion%2C yes. But that%27s not hard%2C and not saying that the ending isn%27t depressing if you think too hard about how they seem to enjoy playing time dilation for angst. It seems like it could%27ve ended an episode earlier%2C maybe throw in an epilogue%2C and been just as well as it was.
