Certainly%2C it has it%27s dark-and-depressing moments%2C alongside its WAFF%2C but seems to be that the feeling%2C %5Bb%5Doverall%5B%2Fb%5D is more the latter.%0D%0A%0D%0ABGC%282032%2C I don%27t know 2040%29%2C OTOH%2C is %5Bb%5Ddark%5B%2Fb%5D.  Sure%2C the good guys win...but what do they win%2C really%3F  Good people die%2C GENOM stays in control.%0D%0AAfter all%2C how much can 4 women in powered armour do%3F %28even if it is really COOL powered armour %3A%29  It has it%27s happy moments%2C but they are far outweighed by it%27s nitty-gritty this-world-sucks realism.  People who get shot bleed%2C and die.  How many ADP officers die%2C per episode%2C on average%3F  Admittedly%2C this is%2C I suppose%2C more an arguement for it%27s darkness%2C rather than it%27s realism%2C but still...take a look at the weaponry%2C and the effect thereof%3F bullets %3D%3D wounds %3D%3D most often death. First%0D%0Aand foremost chronologically it could work.  First season could %0D%0Ahappen in the fall when the Sabers are facing Mason.  The second %0D%0Aseason and third season%2C as I recall happen in all the same year%2C %0D%0Aso that could be 2033AD in of itself.   %0D%0A%0D%0AHow can I incorporate the characters and events though.  It wouldn%27t%0D%0Abe so hard to have them there%2C keep the names but change the scenery.%0D%0ANot so sure if they should remain young and energetic as they are in%0D%0Athe original. If you don%27t then you can do odd things like having the Senshi be their precocious %28i use that word guardedly%2914%2C and the KS their average 19.   %0D%0A%0D%0AFar too often%2C writers age the charcters to match the time line of middle aged not sagging Senshi%2C and I really think it detracts from the writing.  I%27m in my late 20s and I%27m quite different from my 14 or 19 year old self in attitude more than anything else.  However%2C most writers I know seem to assume that at 25 or so%2C you%27ve seen the world and grown depressed about it.
