Looks like no way for the Patriots to win%3B there just isn%27t enough time in the game.%0D%0A%0D%0AAnyway%2C play goes into review %28I%27m pretty sure it%27s an automatic review%2C since it was past the two-minute warning%29%2C and%2C when the ref comes back%2C he states the play is an incomplete pass%2C and the ball is the Pats%27.  So the Pats tie the game%2C win the coin toss%2C and score a field goal in OT to win it and take the AFC title.%0D%0A%0D%0AOf course%2C controversy ensues%2C because there%27s no way you can look at the tape and make a mistake about what Brady%27s intentions were.  He%27d clearly changed his mind and was bringing the ball back to his body -- but that%27s the key.  The ball was still moving forward%2C by game rules%3B this was because the ball was not yet totally in his control again%2C so to speak.  Basically%2C he was still moving the ball%2C even though it was actually down and in%2C and since he lost the ball %5Bi%5Dthen%5B%2Fi%5D%2C it was ruled incomplete%2C as the motion was considered part of the pass attempt.  IIRC%2C if he%27d finished pulling the ball into his body%2C and stopped motion on the ball%2C and lost the ball %5Bi%5Dthen%5B%2Fi%5D%2C it would%27ve been a fumble.%0D%0A%0D%0ABasically%2C the ref made the right call%3B the reason they made the rule the way they did would be to take the onus off of the ref for making judgment calls over whether or not a passer is still attempting to pass.
