4|2|1|||1||RE%3A A Brave New World|The Traitor||18:10:47|07/11/2014|BNW does ramp up the difficulty from G%26K quite a lot%2C removing almost all the gold yields from tiles and replacing it with the Trade Route mechanic%2C which I tend to have a lot of problems with whenever I play against England or France because they will backstab you through a DoF%2C declare war%2C and plunder all the trade routes that were going through their territory%2C leaving your economy resembling that of the Weimar Republic. Also%2C it brings Shaka back. He has one of the best UUs in the game %28it being that holiest of treasures%2C a Pikeman that upgrades to something worth bloody using%29 and boy howdy%2C does he like to use %27em%21%0D%0A%0D%0AOf course%2C good luck winning on any difficulty setting if you%27ve got the Korea DLC and they get an isolated start. It%27s not that Korea can into space%2C it%27s that Korea %5Bi%5Dwill%5B%2Fi%5D into space%2C and they will do so really bloody fast because the UA is something that the AI can abuse like a redheaded stepchild because of the production bonuses it gets. Sejong is an absolute nightmare to deal with on Deity%2C at least in my experience. I recall one game in which he was running away with things%2C so I decided to nuke his arse back to the Stone Age. He still won a science victory%2C despite my having reduced Seoul to a crater with a couple of super mutants in it and taking a couple of his other ones%2C just because he was so far ahead to begin with. Or you get to turn %7E50 %28fast timescale%29 and have to restart because there%27s 4-5 barbarians surrounding your single city.%0D%0A%0D%0AOne thing I wish the game did have was natural disasters%3B not that it needs to be any harder%2C but it just feels weird without them%2C especially if you%27re looking at Krakatoa and 1883 ticks by with no %22kaboom%21%22. Maybe add in a promotion for Workers to counteract disasters. Or%2C to run with the X-COM angle%2C add %22alien incursion%22 to the list of natural disasters starting in the 1950s%2C and a garrisoned X-COM squad prevents that.%0D%0A%0D%0A%22This is probably a stupid question%2C but . . .%22

Plop that dude down as an academy and you just run away with the tech lead. They%27re not geared towards any one specific victory condition%2C but when you%27re matching Submarines against Caravels and Tanks against Musketmen%2C the choice is pretty much yours.%0D%0A%0D%0A%22This is probably a stupid question%2C but . . .%22
