She felt that owning a ten-year old computer was something of a problem %28Considering I%27m doing a course on software development%2C she was right%29. So a large part of that money was to go towards a good computer.%0D%0A%0D%0AThree and a half months later%2C I%27ve finally convined both nan and my parents that the computer I%27ve found is a good one. So then it takes two weeks before they get around to taking the money out of the account %28Mum decided to keep the account book%2C just in case. Jeez%2C there%27s no trust these days%29.%0D%0A%0D%0AOn Monday%2C my computer was finally delivered. I started to transfer all my stuff %28fics%2C images%2C etc%29 over from the old 486%2C having to use floppy disks. Less then ten minutes after I started. The new computer died. It wouldn%27t even reach the memory test when I turned it on%21%0D%0A%0D%0AIt wasn%27t until yesterday that I was able to get it fixed. It was the motherboard%2C which was the only thing my supplier didn%27t have extras of in stock. So for now I%27ve got a temp board in my box.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe real kicker though%2C is that on Tuesday mum came and picked up the old computer for my sister. Which meant that I had to dump everything onto a few dozen floppies. Can you guess which disks were the only ones corrupted%3F That%27s right%2C the Symphony%21%0D%0A%0D%0AWhen I die%2C I%27m going to huny down Murphy and kick him in the nuts.
