It was the first warm day we%27ve had this year%2C so I had my front door open and the storm door in screen mode %28as I often do on nice days in spring and fall%29.  While I was sitting in my living room%2C a pigeon flew smack into the middle of the screen and died.%0D%0A%0D%0AThat%27s weird%2C but it%27s not The Weird Thing.  This is%3A when I went to the door to see if the bird that had just hit the screen was in fact dead%2C I startled another bird that was standing over the carcass on my top step. Who just happened to be on the scene %5Bi%5Dseconds%5B%2Fi%5D after a pigeon flew full-speed into my screen door.%0D%0A%0D%0AI think what we have here is your classic %22hot pursuit leading to a fatal crash%22 scenario%2C except with a small falcon and a pigeon instead of cops and a car thief.  Pigeon probably thought %22aha%2C I%27ll lose her in there%22 and then WHACK.%0D%0A%0D%0ACaution%3A below this point are a couple of photos that include an obviously dead bird. In my book%2C this makes Mme. Kestrel a good neighbor.%0D%0A%0D%0AThinking about it%2C I kind of wonder now how long she%27s been in the area%2C and whether her presence is the reason why we%27ve had far fewer pigeons around the place for the last year or so than in the two or three years previous to that%2C when there was a whole flock of them living in and around my barn and being a real problem.  If so%2C I%27m inclined to offer Mme. Kestrel a competitive tax incentive program if she%27ll stay in the neighborhood%2C maybe even get a few of her friends to move in.%0D%0A%0D%0AStill%2C though%2C that was frickin%27 weird. I got a campsite at Pymatuning State Park %28the PA one%29 and staged out of there. %0D%0A%0D%0AAs it turned out%2C the best weather prospects on the day were west of Cleveland%2C so I got up early and drove to Old Woman Creek State Nature Preserve up by Huron%2C OH. It was a nice spot%2C not too crowded%2C and there were plenty of birds including herons%2C egrets and eagles to watch in the meantime. The weather turned out good%2C just some high cirrus clouds that didn%E2%80%99t really impair viewing.

I mean%2C at the start of the game your character is just a broke-ass %7Bstreet kid%7Cdisgraced corpo%7Crenegade nomad%7D%2C and you get your %5Bi%5Deyeballs replaced%5B%2Fi%5D in one of the earliest cutscenes.
