"Symphony of the Sword: The Master List"

In the process of re-titling the Symphony annotations so they would index properly when that forum is sorted by subject, I had to sit down and compile a proper list of all the parts of the five Symphonies as they currently exist and the order in which they belong, and since I had the list anyway, I figured it might be of some interest. There are currently fifty-nine Symphony stories in release, which slightly surprised me, and two in the middle of Symphony No. 3 that are planned and titled but not finished; I gave those two sequence numbers, which is why everything after Sophomore Slump appears, at first glance, to be misnumbered in the Annotations board now. (Also, while reordering the posts I discovered to my surprise that we apparently skipped annotating Out of the Blue entirely!) The list: S01 S1M1 Wounded Rose

S61 S5M2 Clarion Call (Note that anything that wasn't a Movement got an "E" production code here, whether it was actually flagged an entr'acte, interlude, or otherwise. Also that the codes do not necessarily imply order of release, since if memory serves, some were released out of sequence, e.g. For Today came out before The Revolution Will Be Televised.) The SOS directory on the EPU website takes up just short of 60,000 kilobytes, but that includes all the graphics, website index files, and so forth, and so does not reflect an accurate estimate of how much actual text is involved. My interest in investigating these things goes only so far. :) --G.

And for those of us whose interest DOES go that far: The raw text itself comes to around 8.1 megs with a total word count of 1,411,158, with Credits and Intros, as I don't have THAT much free time.
So that's what, a pair of King James Bibles give or take? (For an Encore I'm going to do all of UF...) |

Just the source material, not the annotations, though -- I'm waiting for the day that I can afford a dual-screen set-up so that I can have annotations right next to the source text. UF/FI (especially SOS) gets more re-reads than the paperback fantasy/sci-fi novels that I own... wow. Moving onto the WOTOR arc again,

My recollection is that r.a.a.c. didn't appear until my sophomore year, and a bit of Googling provided me with some limited results on crossroads. Not sure if chapter 1 (or the general announcement, for that matter) was posted the same day or the day before, but the headers (if not the body) of chapter 2 are in Google Groups' cache as being posted to rec.arts.anime on 2/27/93. Which sounds about right to me - I'd only really found usenet back in November or so, and was heavily back into Robotech, having rediscovered it through a friend of a friend...Offsides [...] in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles.
