About the same as Narsil in the Lord of the Rings movies, only more uniformly (that is, broken into pieces about the size of the middle shards, but all the way to the tip rather than just in the middle).

As for fast, well... the lion's share of the work took me about two hours, give or take a bit, and was mostly focused on redrawing the outline. I used to do pixel art on a MUCH larger scale, back in the day. So yeah; lot of that you see there was done with a pencil or line tool. :) I can't take credit for the gradients though, those were all software tools (except for the aqua gem thing in the guard and the tip, which I have yet to find a satisfactory tool for).

Right. We know the point was intact, because it figured in the Big Magic that was involved in its re-forging. Beyond that, very similar to the damage to Movie Narsil, only with much less of the length below the point intact.

Not a problem - that's what right-click->save as is for, unless you've got higher-rez originals. (And for my purposes right now, that's not even an issue.) I'm already putting it to use! :)
