One was that she was Utena%27s... not %5Bi%5Dconscience%5B%2Fi%5D%2C but sort of an external replacement for the sense of perspective that Utena more or less doesn%27t have.  And the other was that she really%2C really wanted to be one of those people who Have It Goin%27 On %28and%2C of course%2C the show being what it was%2C she %5Bi%5Dwasn%27t%5B%2Fi%5D%2C and %5Bi%5Dknew%5B%2Fi%5D she wasn%27t%2C and it made her miserable%29.  So in her appearances in UF%2C I%27ve always tried to be mindful of the former wherever possible while making it plain that she got her wish regarding the latter %28which they sort of backhandedly alluded to having happened at the end of the TV show%29.%0D%0A%0D%0AThat%27s why I enjoyed writing her little scene in %5Bi%5DFirst Dates %26 Firefights%5B%2Fi%5D so much - because it%27s just so...
