One of the things I love about UF stories is trying to figure out all the buried or obvious references to other works. Since I lack most of the video/computer game experience and half the anime experience of the authors, this is often difficult.

In rereading "Hogtown", though, I spotted one that I thought was especially subtle and witty.

Dorothy's originally from "Kane's World"? As in "Bob Kane", perhaps? Interesting...

(And will we ever see the story of her rescue, and learn the whys and hows thereof?)
