Pickled? Haven't ever done that. Now fried okra kicks ass, and it's good in stews as well.

Roughly ground dried hominy cooked somewhat like rice. My father likes them with cheese and about the consistancy of wet spackle. (the comparison intensifies if they are allowed to dry on a plate :)
