Anyways, Gryphon was looking for a way to force-multiply the IPO, and someone came up with the idea of a ship that was crewed just by a human captain and an AI that ran thousands of robots for everything else. So a simulated ship was produced (like the Sovereign), and Ben captained it for a few simulated months (just a few real-world days). The design was good, and it could take down a Cylon Basestar without breaking a sweat, but the isolation was like "the bad parts of the Exile" (his words, not mine). So if he wanted to build this ship, he'd have to replace the robots with roughly 30,000 people.
