#0, errata department: Ultra stories

I had occasion to reread Silver Guardian and Code Name: Ultra recently, and in the course of doing so I noticed the same fairly egregious mistake in both of them. When I wrote those two stories, I had somehow acquired the idea that Reflection Nebula Messier 78, location of the Ultras' homeworld, is outside this galaxy. It is not; it's only about 1,350 light years from Sol, and can easily be resolved with consumer-grade telescopes. Eyrie Productions regrets the error.--G. -><- Benjamin D. Don't beat yourself up over it. Even the original material makes that mistake from time to time over the life of the franchise. :)Michael Michael C. Fortner "Maxim 37: There is no such thing as "overkill". There is only "open fire" and "I need to reload".

LAST EDITED ON Mar-15-21 AT 09:50 PM (EDT) >Don't beat yourself up over it.The correction is mostly tongue-in-cheek, but it is wrong. :) On the other hand, Floyd's line in Code Name: Ultra, "Our Ultra-colleague is getting his ultra-ass ultra-kicked," is even funnier to me now that Ultraman Z exists with his habit of adding "ultra-" to everything. --G. I have only watched the first episode so far, and you are right about it making that line even funnier.Michael Michael C. Fortner "Maxim 37: There is no such thing as "overkill". There is only "open fire" and "I need to reload".

Kinda reminds me of Kinuhata Saiai’s dialogue in the Index/Railgun stories. She does the same thing.
