#0, What UF does to my mind
Posted by Griever on Nov-24-01 at 03:18 PM
Okay , this is going to be a bit pointless .

I haven't really watched that many ST movies , just a few , but
when a friend who had nothing to do on a weekend and wanted to
watch Insurrection and asked me what , knowing that I had
just recently caught it somewhere on TV recently (I go into rant
mode after almost every movie , can't stop it , usually get odd
looks for that)was the thing's plot , and if it was worth
watching ,weirdness struck .

Now , my mind wasn't really up to speed at the moment he asked ,
it being the middle of the night (for me , between 4 and 10 AM)
and me not having gotten much sleep prior , so I told him the
first thing that came to me ... it went something like

'Well , the UFP had this little project going , and
Data went berserk , and Picard decided to visit ...
no , wait a minute, that can't be right , since when did the UFP
have Sovereign Class Ships ... did the IPO finally give one to Picard...
hmm , but he was still in Starfleet...'

By then my brain went on and stopped the rant , leaving my friend a little puzzled , and me to explain where that had come from .

That sort of thing just tends to happen to me .

And damn me, if I don't think of UF first when seeing a
Frederation ship .
