Yup, although its only a passing refference. It's part of the Freespacer stories, the one where Redneck returns to take control of the fleet again. He echo's Honor from Hecho of Honor when he calls a certain Rear Admiral Styles "A walking fustercluck of an officer".

And yes, Webber does come up with the equivalent of fighters later on in the series. You'll see them make an apperance starting with "Honor Amoung Enemies".
