To which, let us add, that ID storage is a known trick for them, given their exposure to people like Washuu... Replicators would not. Not to mention that anything with enough umph to power a rep would be enough umph to power a weapon without it.

The HD mags, on the other hand, while they use power, it doesn't need to be at the gun end... the HD fold between the hoppers and the magazines is initiated and powered at the hopper side.

Which reminds me... Wouldn't a sort of gattling system work for a revovler?
