Maybe, if any of us thinks of a good way to play it that holds water with the others (and especially Gryph and Zoner).

For now, this is how things sit in the UF universe regarding the 'Salu Four.'

Queen Asrial Arconian, Ambassador and First Consort Jeremy Feeple, Ichikun, head Clan Ichinohei, and General Princess Leeanna Zard'al are all alive and healthy as of 2412.

As strongly implied by descriptions and activities in the various stories these four appear in (UF1, UF4, Quagmire Project, Passion, Die Hardly, Cybertron Dreams) none of these four have aged at -all- since attaining their majority.

They have NOT been prolonged in any way. (As of 2412, Leeanna is between 30% and 40% cyborged, but this is due to injury and loss of limbs, not aging.) Of the four, Leeanna ought to have the shortest lifespan (living on a world with very poor nutrition sources and a high background radiation level) and Asrial the longest (a Salusian can live close to a millenia with careful medical care, of which about 600 years may be considered 'active'), but to all outside appearances they look of an age, to within one or two years or year-equivalents. Even Asrial, who should be well into middle-age by her race's standards, is still in the bloom of youth.

They do not undergo regen treatments save for injuries- certainly nothing on the scale of the RETRO procedure. They are not mutants, nor are they Highlander immortals. They do not possess Great Rings of Power.

The four have kept any thoughts or theories they might have on the subject to themselves. Any persons expert enough to know the cause of their perpetual youth are -not talking.- In short, it is one of the UF universe's great mysteries.

The most popular theory among gossips in the UF universe is that the four will begin to age when Asrial gives birth to an heir. Of course, being the most popular theory, it is guaranteed to be utterly false. }:-{D

Any further revealations on the subject will, no doubt, be the subject of a story in itself, once Edison or Washuu or someone tells US what the secret is.
