Omega-2 isn't communicable like a disease - once its work is done, it disappears from the system. It's supposed to be impossible to reverse-engineer from the changes it's wrought in the subject's genetic code, too.

Where the 02 came from that's mentioned in Secrets (which, by the way, is one of those stories that makes me wince and wish I could erase everybody's memory :) is a story that hasn't been told yet, but it's a lot more complicated than simple transmission.
