Juri's not a student - Liza's never seen her before in her life. She was curious about that, and also possessed of a strange desire to take care of the situation herself, rather than dragging in the Forces of Authority. She's probably not certain why, herself; several things about the events of this episode have left Liza feeling a bit... conflicted.
