Hardly the 'only' way to go - but when I was 21 I dated a 28 year old, and when I was 22 I was seeing a 32 year old. Actually I was dating both of them for a while - yes, they both knew and were both cool with that. It was very, hmm, educational. :-)

I still miss the first, I was, and remain, very much in love with her - *and* she was a fantastic lover. But life is messier than we wish sometimes - we dated while she was separated from her husband, and they reconciled. We've kept in touch, but less and less often over the years.

ANYWAY... I've also dated women several years younger than myself (I'm 30 now), and that is a lot of fun too. I think it matters more how mature someone is than their biological age.
