I don't think she was really pissed - 'miffed' is probably the right word. She's not used to being stood up, but it was obvious that Miki didn't do it maliciously.

It was probably more disappointment than anything.

> 2.3) So, found a way to work Skull house in after all?

Skull Tomb.

And the description is close to the real history. It was originally built as an electromagnetics lab - but then the city of Worcester when and put an electrified trolley line down that cross street. (ie, NOT Institute, I just forget which street the other is - Boynton?) That put the kibosh on magnetic field research. So they let Robert Goddard use it for a while. Figuring it'd take a lot to blow it up, and it wouldn't be a huge loss - and it wasn't near anything. (Keep in mind that, at the time, all the houses that are around there now - weren't.) Not sure it is true or embellishment - but local legend is that they stuck him there after one of his tests did damage another lab.

It went mostly unused for a while, then Skull took it over.

>4.0) Are the crab Rangoons at ping's really that good? Good enough to

You'd have to ask Truss. I hate all forms of seafood, and Gryph doesn't like crab rangoon. But Truss orders them.

>6.0) Bowling?* Kate and Juri like to Bowl? What could they

It has been many years since I went. I never got into it as much as some of my friends, but really the reason we went was just to be goofy and socialize. I certainly don't enjoy it enough to by my own gear - but I don't have the kind of money Juri does either. If I had that kind of money I'd probably be making a LOT of impulse buys.

In other words, instead of my "Hey, the new Jeep Liberty looks pretty keen. I'd think about buying one if I didn't have this new PT Cruiser." It would be "Hey, the new Jeep Liberty looks pretty keen. I'll get one."

No, the sexy tiger lingere will be from Urd, not Bell. And I'll take credit for those. I believe it was Gryph who mentioned Bell's creation, and I countered by suggesting what Urd's counterpart would be. ;-)

At least the car isn't tiger striped.

>9.0) Why do I somehow get the feeling that Juri's not really over her

Because Juri isn't one to just let things drop.

>10.0) Have I mentioned that I like Azalynn? She is now the seconed

Though I don't think she'd appreciate being referred to as if she were some kind of target, or goal. Note what she says about volunteers for holidays.

She just has that kind of personality.

I can relate - people have done that to me for as long as I can remember. Especially women, but not limited to them. I've had people sit down next to me looking kind of upset, so I'll ask them what's wrong and get something like "Oh, nothing really.... <pause> It's just that..." and an hour later they finish, blink, and say something like "I don't know why I just told you all of that." It has happened enough that I just accept it. It is weird though, because some people are actually shocked at themselves, like they never intended to tell anyone and they really have no idea why they just spilled their guts to me. Sometimes they'll start trying to apologize, it is like they come out of a trance when they're done. Actually it is kind of keen to see.

> 10.2) Neat! Aboreal nubile chesire cats! I want one for christmas!

Yeah, she'd be a lot of fun to have around.

>11.0)Finals. uggh. Don't remind me. A term finals are only 13 weeks
>away...

Hell, WPI only has *SEVEN* week terms. At the start of the term you knew the final exam was just seven weeks away. (WPI in the stories, being a high school, has slightly longer years. I think Gryph decided on 8-9 week quarters.)

At WPI you normally take 3 classes a quarter. Start to end is just seven weeks. Classes meet more times a week and/or for longer sessions than at most colleges, so they say you have 85% of the class time but cover 100% of the material as other schools.

If you fall too far behind, get really sick, etc - you are fuxx0red.

>12.0) So, did you guys actually do this? Or was it just kinda random?

The Fryolator - mostly real.

> 12.0.1)(read the other posts before posting this)Ok, so was gryphon
>there, or is this just Zoner's ten year old memories coming back to

Nope, he wasn't there. The only two people there were me and Oz. I had to adapt the scene for the characters, but it happened.

Yep.

>everything in my kitchen, right? With breading at least.. (chunks of

That sounds good actually. I can't stand 'plain' cheese - I think it is the texture that revolts me. But I love pizza, cheeseburgers, mac & cheese, cheddar stuffed jalapenos (NOT cream cheese stuffed though - those are vile), etc.

One of the things I miss about not living in CA are the Jack In The Box fast food joints - they served cheddar stuff jalapenos. Burger King's new jalapeno cheese bites are ok, but not nearly as good.

>tomatos, in a sugar, flour mix, come out edible, but just barely.

The only way I can ever consider tomatoes edible is as a sauce on pizza, pasta, etc. I'm not allergic to them, but there is something in a raw tomatoe that tastes so very bad to me that it makes me gag. If I, say, order a burger with no tomato and they screw up and leave it on, and then I take a bite - I have to fight just to swallow it and then fight not to hurl. All of my senses are above normal levels - I have 20/15 vision, I hear dog whistles (and those sonic things that are supposed to drive insects away but be inaudible to humans drive me mad, as do old CRTs with noisy flyback transformers), and my sense of touch, smell, and taste are all similarly heightened. I've chatted with docs about it, and they figure it is that I am very sensitive to some of the acids in an uncooked tomato, but they break down when it is cooked so I'm fine. It is so strong that if I get a salad with tomato on it and I remove the tomato, many times I can tell if I missed just one seed though a mouthfull of lettuce. It isn't so strong I gag at that point, but I very distinctly taste the tomato.

>13.1) Then again, What goes in the book, and what Zoner/Daddy/Mom/Who
>Everelse says happened, might be *way* off.

I expect that what really happened and what the history books *say* differs in many cases. However, if the question directly relates to something we did, and the book is wrong, if she gets docked for answering *correctly* - then she has the resources to prove her case.

"Hi, I'm MegaZone. Kate tells me you marked her answer to the question about the Paxis 8 incident as incorrect. Well, let me tell you a story..."
