Then again, Bester is an incredibly powerful teep. A P12, and has been training for six decades. He's almost 60 in the series, so he has a very good sense of how teep works, and a very strong mind. P8's and up can project what they want to see into a mundanes mind. Or a teeps mind, but a teep can try to resist it.
