I genuinely thought that they were going to let it die and put it on another well-deserved hiatus. This just confirms what I was already afraid of- that the beeb is going to keep running Doctor Who into the ground until it's a pathetic husk of its former self. My 30 years of being a fan of it is going to wither as I watch my favorite show in the world be absolutely beaten to death.

Why couldn't they have just let it stop?
