The background music is extremely abstract, by design. I think the one about ammonites is supposed to be an oblique reference to evolution (metaphorically), but I'm not a deep enough thinker to get much further than that. :)

Symphony of the Sword assumes that the entire Revolutionary Girl Utena television series happened before Wounded Rose, though in some cases what happened either wasn't for entirely the same underlying reasons or didn't have quite the same ultimate effect in UF.
