I like it. Nice, doesn't seem to fall into SI territory, which is easy to do. I've read the intro, and the first two parts of endgame. I'm not so certain of each characters motivation for being in the group (Mihoshi? Why Mihoshi?) but I'll hold out till I finish it.

One minor note, and please correct me if I'm wrong. Here's a quote from the story:

Kusanagi glared at the gorgoyle, then Koichi. "This is an outrage!
How dare you accuse--"
"No accusations have been made," Koichi said evenly. "But since we
obviously have just cause..." He turned to one of his guards. "Sakaguchi,
if you would please escort this lady to the _Gunbuster_..."
Sakaguchi nodded briskly. "Yes, sir."
"Now, hold on a minute--" Kusanagi spat.
"You know, this could easily be a capital offense." Koichi swept a
hand across his chest, a dismissive gesture. "Make sure she's got at least
four guards with her at all times. Take her away."
Kusanagi started to say something--no doubt an epithet--but Sakagu-
chi puller her away before she could spit it out. Koichi turned to Goliath
and asked, "Who did you find on that ship?"
"Two Federation officers. Combat Police, and Intelligence. Swear-
ing immunity from everything, and demanding that we let them resume travel-
ing to Moren Station." Goliath turned, looking at the diminishing backs of
Malso and her escort.

End quote...

Koichi is talking to Kusinagi, but at the end, you have Malso walking off. Did I miss something?
