What would motivate a man named Richard Woodcock to a) let people call him Dick and, on top of that, b) teach seventh-grade English? Is there a worse job in the world for a man called Dick Woodcock than teaching any subject to seventh-graders? (Admittedly, it could be argued that, well, is there a worse job in the world for anyone called anything than teaching any subject to seventh-graders?) It boggles the mind.
