There is a story, dunno if it's true or not, none of the places that I know of that debunk urban legends, such as Snopes, have it even mentioned, per se, though there is a similar one that involves Lucille Ball.

Supposedly this guy arrived at the doctors sometime in the 50s-60s, convinced that he was either going insane or was possessed...though the difference between the two eludes me.
Anyways, he was hearing things, literally. A voice was talking to him. Indistinct enough that he couldn't hear WHAT it said, but it said it constantly, with irregular breaks here and there.

After a LOT of talking, and testing, and this and that and the other, the doctor, for some reason or another, leaned in really close to the guy, almost as if in a hug...and realized HE could hear it too.

Turn out that the guy had multiple dental repairs, in different metals. These metals, along with his saliva, and weird and wonderful coincidences, is supposed to have worked as a radio receiver. The sound then transmitted from his teeth to his jawbone to his ear, creating the very faint noise he heard.

Seems a bit far-fetched to me, but on the other hand, the weirdest and most bizarre stuff is the stuff that turns out to be true.
