This is without question the dumbest, most pointless, most sloppily coded, most utterly ridiculous game I have played in many years; possibly ever. It is idiotic to an extent previously only theoretical.

I recommend it unreservedly.

I first encountered it in a series of videos by a couple of the Yogscast crew, a YouTuber organization I discovered when searching at random the other week for videos of people playing the original UFO. (I wasn't really expecting to find one, but hey. The Internet.)

They also seem to spend a lot of time playing Minecraft, which I have been mindlessly watching while dealing with some minor but distracting health problems this week. I've never played Minecraft, but it appears to be basically the stupidly complicated yet aesthetically minimalist crafting system from every MMO, if MMOs had existed for the Nintendo Entertainment System and without most of the rest of the game attached, which I suspect would be fairly meditative and restful. At any rate, I'm enjoying watching these guys aimlessly fuck around play, even if I'm only getting about half of the jokes. In , they're ostensibly trying to develop a sort of Minecraft Apollo program, but really just seem to fall down holes, get attacked by cubist zombies, and argue a lot in increasingly-high-pitched voices. I'm not sure I'd recommend it for everyone, but I'm finding it curiously good times. :)

The one for PC on Steam. I haven't played the Android version, but I believe in that instance the one you want is the original by Coffee Stain Studios. The others are either other-brand knockoffs (of a game that is already of knockoff quality) :, or expansions by CSS (Goat Simulator MMO Simulator and Goat Simulator: GoatZ) that were DLCs for the PC game, but seem to be separate titles on Android for whatever reason. MMO Simulator is funny and GoatZ is an amusing parody of zombie apocalypse games, but neither one is important to the core Goat Sim experience, as it were. :)
