Since Crossair(who, incidentally, is less defunct than they're now the Swiss International Air Lines after taking over all of Swissair when THEY went kaput) was the first company to order the SAAB 340, a Swedish aircraft, I had actually heard of them, and by extension Herr Kapitän Lutz and flight 3597(though, I admit I did not remember the flight number).

And yes. I cannot other that agree. Lutz was, by any metric you can really use, probably the most shit pilot to not actually get the heave-ho in the world, prior to his unfortunate stop. Unfortunate, that is, in that he took others along.
