Hey, so I'm selling my father's 2014 F-350 for him.Figured I'd post it here on the off chance that somebody's looking for a humongous luxury pickup that could probably tow the Titanic. It's nice! --G. -><- Benjamin D. I appreciate the Rolls armored car as a towing metric!

Having viewed the auction, I'm now amused at how eBay thinks I really, really need to buy your dad's truck. XD

preserved for posterity: ---This is a 2014 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat Supercab pickup. It has the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine and four-wheel drive, a towing capacity of 12,500 pounds (that's 6ΒΌ tons, enough to haul a camper trailer bigger than your first apartment, as many horses as most people would want to have around, or a World War I-vintage Rolls-Royce armoured car and all three members of its crew), and many, many comfort and convenience features. These include Ford's OEM satellite navigation system with Sync, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and cooled leather seats comfortable enough to sleep in (note: do not do this if you're the driver), a premium sound system with SiriusXM satellite radio capabilities, remote AND keypad keyless entry, the FX4 off-road package, the snow plowing package (plow not included), four factory upfitter switches, dual alternators, running boards, and a very snazzy black and chrome exterior with 20-inch chrome wheels. The bed is fitted with the mounting rails for a fifth-wheel trailer hitch (not currently installed, but we'll include it with the truck if the buyer wants it). Also included are a set of Weathertech floor liners in place of the OEM rubber floor mats (which were lost by a previous owner) and a Weathertech soft tonneau cover. This truck has been well cared for during its time with its present owner, including punctual regular maintenance, all the right fluids, and new General Grabber ATX tires 8,000 miles ago. It has some body wear inside the bed and some minor surface rust on the undercarriage, because no working pickup in New England lacks either, but there are no structural problems or body rust. It's never been crashed, on fire, under water, modded, or driven by unauthorized personnel. The interior is mint (not literally, although an air freshener with the appropriate fragrance could easily be acquired) and all the gadgets work as intended. Basically, think of this beast as a Shire horse in a well-tailored tuxedo. It's imposing, handsome, surprisingly elegant, very powerful, almost absurdly comfortable, and will happily tow a huge camper across the country and back without breaking a sweat. It has served us well for several years. We're only selling it because we no longer have a huge camper.

The Megatruck didn't sell last summer, so Dad kept it through the winter, and today's he's gone and traded it in on something a little nimbler.--G. >No word yet on which monster his new pickup will choose >as its first Favored Enemy. The new pickup's favoured enemy is the same as favourite terrain: kerbs at the Wal-Mart. =] --- "She's old, she's lame, she's barren too, // "She's not worth feed or hay, // "But I'll give her this," - he blew smoke at me - // "She was something in her day." -- Garnet Rogers, Small Victory FiMFiction.net: we might accept blatant porn involving the cast of My Little Pony but as God is my witness we have standards. couldn't resist, sorry. =]
