Heh, yeah - I liked that look. Sometimes I consider buying a tux just to sport the look at random. Good picture, too. When I moved back from California, I misplaced my copy, darn it.

Odd that this should come up right now - I've spent most of today in my black suit (fortunately, OH so fortunately, the heat wave broke last night, so today was in the mid-seventies, breezy and dry, not, as it's been for the last week or so, in the high nineties, stagnant and too humid to freaking breathe), being a sort of combination best man/er... guy? of honor at my mother's wedding.

(OBSERVATION: When both of the participants in the marriage ceremony are approximately fifty, the part of the Congregational wedding text which wishes, "May they live to see their children's children" is pretty pointless. Chances are, either they already have, or they're never gonna... )

It was kind of an odd ceremony, what with the occasional pop music (my mother has horrific taste in pop music) and Vincent having suffered a curious mental lapse and plopped the ring into his pocket with what sounded like every key he's ever owned in his life and at least $30 in change, plus a pair of sunglasses. (Long, comically awkward, musically jingling pause here, with standard-issue embarrassed giant drop of sweat.) More fun than most weddings I've been to, though... unlike ReRob's, for instance, it didn't feature 100-degree heat and an entire Catholic Mass in the middle... :)

(my memory may be exaggerating how hot it was at ReRob's wedding.)
(I really should write up the Tales of ReRob's Wedding for the Subterranean Vault... )
