Hello, guess you could say I'm your standard nerd model 1.0. I only have a passing interest in anime (I come to EPU more because these guys can write a good story than any other reason).

As for where I'm from: Laguna Hills is in the sourthern part of Orange County (the little one on the coast just south of LA county), the last conservative stronghold in CA. Actually LH is just south of Irvine (and I live close enough to throw my stapler through my bedroom window, across the street, and into that wonderful planned city, if I tried (but I'm not going to)) and I recognized a number of the geographical references Mr. Mann made one of his contributions to UF.

At least, that's where I'm living for the next few months, then I'm off to Berkeley, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Hmm...That's about all I can think of now.

(Btw, Gryphon and MegaZone probably think I'm an idiot based on the posts I've made in other parts of the forum, they're mostly right)

Wow. Orange County to the East Bay. You're in for a fun adjustment period...

Sounds like something on the order of the adjustment I had to make when I and my family moved from Little Rock, AR to Bridgeport, CT (which, at the time, was kind of like the Bronx, but without the good parts).

No, not really. It's more the political shift involved in moving from Republicanland to an anarchic utopia.

Yeah, that's kind of the idea. Just because I'm sitting behind the "Orange Curtain" doesn't mean I like it. I'll either have the time of my life at Berkeley or go running home to my bubble :)

Or possibly both, depending on how much money you manage to blow at Rasputin's the first year. :)

Ok, time to update my little intro. I've moved into my new room in Bowles Hall at the University of California at Berkeley. We'll see what happens from here.
