I greatly enjoyed the road film bits, but there was something about Kaitlyn's interview that struck me as... I think the word is "self-indulgent". Yes, I'm aware I'm talking about the UF universe. I mean self-indulgent even for that.

I can easily accept that Kaitlyn got interviewed in the same episode as the one showcasing her father's legendary car. I haven't seen a lot of the show, but it makes sense to match up the segments like that. Presumably there are other episodes that feature cars and people unrelated to the Symphony core cast but this is the one that got "taped", so to speak.

Kaitlyn proceeds to kick ass and take names behind the wheel of a cheap car - fine. While she's a musician, she's also a Katsujinkenryu master and hangs around Driving-Fu masters.

But then she proceeds to break her father's record on the test track, her band also does the theme tune of the show, and she's the first person to have communicated with the Stig - no, sorry, that's a little too much. I'm not watching a TV programme from a universe where everything is awesome, I'm watching an author spoil their favourite character with gifts.

Other than that, enjoyable and hilarious.
