I'd have to go with alpha discriminators - for instance, if I added a third side story to the Great Summer Road Trip of 2405, between Interlude in the Golden City and Blue Moon Serenade, it'd end up being something like "s20a-s2e3a-theassassinationofjessejamesbythecowardrobertford.txt". That wouldn't be particularly pretty to a human reader, but apache would still sort it correctly, which was the whole point of the mass rename.
Given that the alternative was BASIC-style line numbers, it seemed the best compromise.
