#0, The Real Art of Noise

Maybe I missed something somewhere along the line, or just don't listen to the "right" kind of music or something. But today, while perusing a gallery linked to Entertainment Weekly (of all places), I learned that Art of Noise actually existed.

According to its Wikipedia article, AoN was an avant-garde synthopop group, active between 1983-1990 and 1998-2000. In 1998 they released a cover of Prince's "Kiss" that featured Tom Jones on vocals, which reached #5 on the UK singles chart and #18 on the US dance chart. They also covered the Peter Gunn Theme, featuring original guitarist Duane Eddy, and won a Grammy in 1987.

At the 1998 Oscars, AoN member Anne Dudley, who composed several scores for movie and TV, won in the Best Music, Original Musical or Comedy Score category for "The Full Monty."

Sounds more than a bit like the kinds of things Kaitlyn and the UF AoN were up to.
