There are a couple of different purposes for this particular chapter. One was to fill in some of the gap I inadvertently left in Volume One by skipping over the first week and a half of Kate's tenure, and better explain why Mio mentions Corwin a couple of times in later chapters.

Another, though, was to try to reconcile Mio's assertion, repeated a couple of times in the canon, that she's a bassist because she wants to avoid attracting attention with the intricate, quite showy bass parts that are featured in many of HTT's songs (like "Cagayake! Girls").
