Azusa Nakano was a bad person.

She had to assume this, because in the midst of this most dark and
difficult of times for the Light Music Club, it suddenly dawned on her
that she had never felt more happy or fulfilled in her entire
life.

I can understand why she'd feel that way, though. The club is finally doing what she's always wanted. They're getting serious about music.
