Heh... and one of my favourite-from-way-back-when online stories had an interesting set of characters. There was a humanoid-ish alien critter, looking just "off" enough to scrabble at the rim of Uncanny Valley, and a half scale replica of an Avro Arrow. Most people guessing which was the actual AI person, and which was the radio-controlled drone, had to guess again. ;)
