I would agree if the identities of Eve and the SDF-17 Wayward Son were tightly coupled, but the ACI was more like an omnipresent crew member than a part of the ship. Last word of Eve has her serving aboard the SDF-23 Wandering Child in the same capacity.

Contrast that with Canal and the Swordbreaker, whose identities seem to be inseparable.
