I seem to recall Anakin having been trained by some itinerant Jedi (who was not Obi Wan) before winding up a taxi-driving slave on Nar Shaddaa, which is what I think Star Ranger was asking about. Saionji utters the line, "I'm sure Master $NAME was very wise, but he was wrong about this", but I can't recall what that variable's value was.
