I love the comparison items the K-On! wiki uses to try and give the reader a better sense of how heavy Mugi's keyboard is:

"The Korg Triton is a hefty piece of equipment; at 17 kilograms it is comparable to a FIM-92 Stinger Missile or FGM-148 Javelin Missile Launcher."

Because, you know, the average anime-comedy wiki reader is going to be more familiar with the sensation of carrying around a shoulder-fired surface-to-air missile system. Naturally.

(I know in the other thread we did have mention of some soldiers who watch it, but, I mean, seriously? :)

Now I'm imagining a very bored soldier somewhere. Check for IEDs, maintain gear, edit K-On! wiki.

"Hmm, 17 kilos? Hey, that's the same as my missile launcher!"

Similarly, a Les Paul weighs about the same as an M1 Garand, while the Fender Mustang is renowned for weighing no more than an M4 carbine.

Given the proclivities of certain anime superfans, are you sure you want this question answered?

"She's old, she's lame, she's barren too, // "She's not worth feed or hay, // "But I'll give her this," - he blew smoke at me - // "She was something in her day." -- Garnet Rogers, Small Victory

FiMFiction.net: we might accept blatant porn involving the cast of My Little Pony but as God is my witness we have standards.

I went to a circus training school for a bit as a kid to learn how to clown, and lemme tell you, they get jokes like that so much more...

A case of copier paper would be the right weight, but it would look pretty silly on a shoulder sling.

"This is probably a stupid question, but . . ."

Unless you happen to be Yomiko Readman, in which case I think that qualifies as a weapon of mass destruction.

I wouldn't go THAT far, but it would at the very least be a SAW.

A SAW? Yomiko with a full case of paper? Uh-uh, it might not be a weapon of mass destruction but it's diffinatly more then an assault rifle, even the SAW. Maybe a conventional bomb or equivialnt poundage of C4.
