I'm strongly considering this. If I was going to get a little crazy with money, though, I would love this puppy.

I have that puppy, and I like it a lot, though frustratingly one of the buttons on mine doesn't work. I got it to play Elite: Dangerous (the X52 is the 'reference stick' for that game, to the point where the controls in your ship's cockpit are modeled after it) and love it to little pieces.

I ended up finding a good deal on the Thrustmaster on eBay, so it's currently on the way to me from California.

"And... you foresaw no problems with the wording of calling a joystick the Thrustmaster?"

"Ayup."

I think I talked about that in a very old thread--I adore the TIE Defender. But the Advanced was a New Thing--I remember Rayna Tangril flying one and it was just introduced--sometime in FI. Might have been Kozue's miniseries. The Defender flies rings around the Advanced, so it's something for NF, if it shows up at all.
